Zachary Ashford Joins the EP Roster, Set to Re-Release Heavy Metal Horror novel Polyphemus and Novelize Mark Savage's Purgatory Road

Encyclopocalypse Publications to Re-release Heavy Metal Horror novel Polyphemus by Zachary Ashford, also Announcing the Novelization of Mark Savage's Purgatory Road.

We are excited to announce the re-release of Zachary Ashford's incredible Heavy Metal horror novel, POLYPHEMUS, right before Halloween on October 29th, 2024! This Special Edition will have never before published extras as well as a new foreword by Alan Baxter (author of the highly recommended novel SALLOW BEND).

Synopsis:

When lead vocalist of Polyphemus Stephen Oaks's near-fatal on-stage overdose leaves them under pressure from their label, the band's remaining members must find a new vocalist, pick up the pieces and forge on without him.

Unfortunately, he's fresh from rehab and desperate to reunite with his old band, In fact he's so desperate that he'll bargain with dark forces and sacrifice everything - and anyone!

After the final encore is played and the house lights come down, there is no telling who will remain or who they'll be in allegiance to. For Polyphemus, obsession costs far more than mere murder.

POLYPHEMUS will be available in paperback and hardcover wherever books are sold on October 29th, 2024.

In other news, we've signed a contract with Australian Writer/Director Mark Savage to bring his films to novelizations.

First up will be his Religious Horror/Thriller PURGATORY ROAD adapted by fellow Aussie Zachary Ashford.

Synopsis:

Helpless to stop a thief from stealing his father’s modest nest egg, Travis grows up blaming himself for his parents’ suicide.

Becoming a priest who operates a highway confessional with his ambivalent brother, Michael, he offers sage advice to chosen sinners while raining death on unrepentant thieves. Into the world of this antagonistic duo comes Mary Francis, a deranged young woman with psychopathic tendencies who kills a thief who threatens to expose the decidedly un-holy siblings.

Filled with gratitude, Travis invites the woman into their sacred world which begins a chain of carnage-laced events that threaten to destroy the brothers’ bloody, decades-long partnership.

Zachary and Mark are in the process of adapting the script right now. No release date is set yet. We are beyond excited for these talented storytellers teaming up for this project and we'll bring you all information as it develops.
